Thank you for your interest in the Silicon Valley Innovation Program's (SVIP's) Human Performance and Resiliency topic call virtual Industry Day. If you missed our event, here's a quick recap and next steps.

We're looking for startups to help the DHS workforce with innovative wellness tools that could serve the mission needs of operational components and programs including U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

  1. Biometric Wearables: Wearable biometric device(s) that capture several biometric and metabolic leading indicators that can alert the user to initiate mitigating action.
  2. Sleep/Recovery Enhancement: Capability that evaluates sleep quality and/or recreates the restorative benefits of sleep.
  3. AI-enabled Mobile App: Mobile application that allows personnel to input personal information (diet, exercise, mood, injuries, etc.) and/or compile information from various wearable biometric monitoring devices in order to generate outputs describing factors contributing to their overall wellness.

This opportunity is open to U.S. and international startups that meet the following requirements:

  • Fewer than 200 employees or full-time equivalents
  • Must not have been a party to any FAR-based contract and/or federally awarded grant (including the Small Business Innovation Research program) with a combined total of more than $1,000,000 in the past 12 months
